Sleeping

Just a quick update on Kayla and her sleep schedule.  Before Kayla was born John and I had discussed co-sleeping (where child sleeps in bed with parents, no bassinet or bearer)  we were both very much against it.  However, trying to get her to sleep alone was NOT happening. So, in order to sleep we reluctantly put her in bed with us.  She slept, well, like a baby! Once you do the co-sleeping thing we read that you don't attempt to move the infant into their own room/bed until 3 months of age.
Well, as you all know, John's last weekend here was this past weekend and we were really hoping to be able to sleep with each other without Kayla between us.  Saturday night we put her in her room, in her crib and she stayed for 3 hours or so but then we brought her to bed with us to feed her a bottle and have her go back to bed.  Sunday night, same thing.  Monday night same thing.  Tuesday night we decided that Saturday, Sunday, and Monday's failure was actually due to our laziness.  We put her in bed with us because it was more comfortable then standing over her crib with the bottle to feed her.  So Tuesday night we tested our theory and we are PROUD to say Kayla has been sleeping in her crib every night since, all through the night!!  (She usually goes to bed between 9pm and 11pm and wakes up between 8am and 10am--not bad for a almost 3 month old!)  I really hope when Daddy leaves we continue with this progress because it will be nice to be able to sleep more soundly and not have to worry about her safety.  And of course it will be great for when John returns too!!
